Pittsburgh, PA (January 1, 2020) — On Thursday, January 30, 2020, the board of directors of the Laurel Highlands Council (LHC) approved the sale of Camp Twin Echo, located in New Florence, PA. The sale of the property is expected to close by the end of May.
Tony Amrhein, ranger, Camp Twin Echo, has been promoted to project/construction manager and will eventually reside at Heritage Reservation. LHC will still utilize Camp Twin Echo until June 30, 2020, after which it will become private property.
LHC continues to operate seven other camp properties around the region to serve more than 16,000 youth and other community groups year-round with nationally recognized, award-winning programs.
