The Laurel Highlands Council hosts a variety of Special Events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness of Scouting in Western Pennsylvania, western Maryland, and portions of West Virginia. From Golf Outings to our annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, these events provide an excellent opportunity for individuals and corporations to show their support of Scouting while enjoying high-end events and second to none networking opportunities. WHITNEY M. YOUNG JR. SERVICE AWARDS DINNER

The Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award is a national recognition for those individuals and organizations who provide exceptional service for disadvantaged youth by developing Scouting and other opportunities in challenging urban and rural areas.

SCOUTING 365 BREAKFAST

The Annual Scouting 365 Breakfast at the Lexus Club is a morning to celebrate Scouting! Hear an update on the current state of Scouting in the LHC, listen to stories from Scouts and Scouters who are benefiting from the program, and enjoy a savory breakfast! Register for your free ticket now!

SPORTING CLAYS CLASSIC

The 29th Annual Sporting Clays Classic at Highlands Sporting Clays will bring together clay shooters and Scouting supporters to have fun and break some clays while contributing to local Scouting programs.

THE ALL-AMERICAN GOLF CLASSIC

The first-ever All-American Golf Classic will be held in conjunction with the Remember Me Rose Garden (Honoring those from Flight 93). This golf outing scramble is the perfect place to show off your perfect shot or learn more about the game of golf! Spend the weekend with us as we shoot 100 of clays on Friday and swing for Scouting on Saturday! It’s sure to be a fun weekend supporting Scouting!

TASTE OF SCOUTING

Save the date for the first-ever Taste of Scouting! This event is led by women in Scouting for all women. Plan to join us in September for a lovely afternoon at Camp Guyasuta.

Each year, the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner brings together the business community, Scout leaders, and Scouting families to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of that year’s Eagle Scout class. It’s a great evening of celebration for everyone who attends and a source of tremendous pride for the Laurel Highlands Council.
