April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, a time when organizations across the country pause to honor the people who give their time, talent, and heart to strengthening their communities. At Laurel Highlands Council, we are proud to celebrate this month by hosting our Volunteer Celebration Luncheon, a special event dedicated to recognizing the Scouters whose service has shaped the success of our programs throughout 2025.
Scouters are the foundation of Scouting. They are the troop leaders, committee members, mentors, event organizers, trainers, and quiet heroes who make every meeting, campout, advancement, and adventure possible. Their commitment ensures that young people have a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where they can grow into leaders of character. Without our volunteers, Scouting simply would not exist.
That’s why this event is more than an awards ceremony, it’s a heartfelt thank you. It’s a moment for us, as a council, to recognize the countless hours invested, the challenges overcome, and the impact made on thousands of youth across LHC.
