Jerry Gaughan is moving to the Boy Scouts!
Executive Director of the St. Anthony Charitable Foundation, Jerry Gaughan, is taking his fundraising skills to the Scouting America, Laurel Highlands Council as the Chief Development Officer.
Jerry has a very long and successful fundraising experience. While serving the foundation, Jerry was responsible for the efficient operation of all aspects of the Development Department and functions within the scope of the approved development plan. He met with prospective donors, developed strategies, built and maintained positive public image and concentrated efforts on community outreach to enhance program awareness and visibility.
Prior to St. Anthony Charitable Foundation, he served 18 years as a Development Director for Province of St. Augustine of the Capuchin Order. During his time there, Jerry raised a total of $53,750,332 in current and deferred gifts. He also increased the donor base from zero to 72,000.
In 1992, Jerry was the Vice President for Development and Planned Giving at La Roche College, where he was responsible for initiating deferred and planned giving programs for the college. He developed the Heritage Circle, established La Roche Society and established a parent and past parent program for both current and deferred gifts.
Other experiences include Director of Planned Giving/Assistant Director of Development at Duquesne University; and Program Director for Community Counseling Service Co., Inc.
Jerry received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and is working toward his Masters at Duquesne University. He is an Eagle Scout and Author of the story “Living Proof”
